FDOT SEEKS INPUT ON FIVE YEAR WORK PROGRAM

FDOT SEEKS INPUT ON FIVE YEAR WORK PROGRAM

Chipley— Officials from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) are gearing up to hold three public hearings across the panhandle, on the department’s tentative five year work program. The hearings will be held throughout the district to present and receive input on the work program for fiscal years July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2018 and consider the necessity of making changes to the program. 

The hearings are:
·         Monday, Nov. 19, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (EST) in the FDOT Midway Operations Center Conference Room, 17 Commerce Boulevard, Midway. Personnel will discuss and receive input on projects in Franklin, Gadsden, Liberty, Jefferson, Leon and Wakulla counties.
·         Thursday, Nov. 27, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (CST) in the Bay County Government Center Conference Room, 840 West 11th Street, Panama City.  Personnel will discuss and receive input on projects in Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Jackson, Holmes and Washington counties. The meeting will also stream live on www.co.bay.fl.us.
·         Thursday, Nov. 29, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (CST) in the FDOT Milton Operations Conference Room, 6025 Old Bagdad Highway, Milton.  Personnel will discuss and receive input on projects in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties.

For those who cannot attend the meetings in Milton and Midway, the proceedings can be viewed via video conference at the following FDOT Operations Centers:
  • Midway Operations, 17 Commerce Boulevard, Midway
  • Milton Operations Center, 6025 Old Bagdad Highway, Milton
  • Panama City Operations, 3633 Highway 390, Panama City
  • Ponce de Leon Operations Center, 1723 Sunrise Circle, Ponce de Leon

These Public Hearings are being conducted pursuant to Section 339.135(4) (c), Florida Statutes.  The purpose of the public hearings is to consider the Department’s Improved Tentative Work Program for District Three, for the period 2013/2014 through 2017/2018, and to consider the necessity of making any changes to the program.

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.
