Franklin County graduation rate unchanged, dropout rate increased


Franklin County’s graduation rate remained unchanged between 2011 and 2012 while the dropout rate increased substantially. 
Franklin County’s graduation rate for the 2011-2012 school year was 59 percent, the same as the year before. 
The statewide graduation average was 74 and a half percent. 
Gulf County saw its graduation rate jump from 77.6 percent to 84.7 percent. 
In Wakulla County the graduation rate fell from 74.7 percent to 70.4 percent. 
Franklin County dropout rate jumped last year from .8 percent to just over 4 percent. 
The local dropout rate was well above the statewide dropout rate of 1.9 percent. 
In Gulf County the dropout rate was .5 percent, In Wakulla County it was 1.8 percent.
