Franklin County Commissioners on Tuesday recognized Doris
Pendleton for her years of service in the property appraiser’s office and to
the county in general.
Mrs. Pendleton recently retired after working 36 years in
the property appraisers office, the last 12 as property appraiser.
In that time she also served one term as president of the Florida
Property Appraisers Association and 3 terms as Secretary.
She also managed to find time to teach Sunday School and
volunteer at the Second harvest program at the 1st Baptist church in
Eastpoint all while raising three children.
County commissioners presented Mrs Pendleton with a
resolution of appreciation for her invaluable contributions and commitment to
the citizens of Franklin County
and all of the commissioners wished her a very happy retirement.
Mrs. Pendleton also thanked all of the people who helped her
on her way, including the staff at the Property Appraisers office, the county
commission, and the people of Franklin
County who supported her during her
three terms as Property Appraiser.
