Franklin County recognizes Doris Pendleton for years of service

Franklin County Commissioners on Tuesday recognized Doris Pendleton for her years of service in the property appraiser’s office and to the county in general.

Mrs. Pendleton recently retired after working 36 years in the property appraisers office, the last 12 as property appraiser.

In that time she also served one term as president of the Florida Property Appraisers Association and 3 terms as Secretary.

She also managed to find time to teach Sunday School and volunteer at the Second harvest program at the 1st Baptist church in Eastpoint all while raising three children.

County commissioners presented Mrs Pendleton with a resolution of appreciation for her invaluable contributions and commitment to the citizens of Franklin County and all of the commissioners wished her a very happy retirement.

Mrs. Pendleton also thanked all of the people who helped her on her way, including the staff at the Property Appraisers office, the county commission, and the people of Franklin County who supported her during her three terms as Property Appraiser.
