The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council's Socioeconomic Scientific and Statistical Committee (SESSC) will meet Wednesday, January 16, at the Council office located at 2203 North Lois Avenue, Suite 1100, Tampa, Florida. The meeting will begin at 9:00am and will adjourn no later than 5:00pm.
The SESSC will discuss issues related to the review of Gulf of Mexico individual fishing quota (IFQ) programs, including the five-year review of the red snapper IFQ program. The Committee will also discuss issues related to the role of the SESSC.

Although other non-emergency issues not on the agenda may come before the SESSC for discussion, in accordance with the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, those issues may not be the subject of formal action during this meeting. Actions of the SESSC will be restricted to those issues specifically identified in the agenda and any issues arising after publication of this notice that require emergency action under Section 305(c) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, provided the public has been notified of the Council's intent to take action to address the emergency.
This meeting is physically accessible to people with disabilities. Requests for sign language interpretation or other auxiliary aids should be directed to Kathy Pereira at the Council at least five working days prior to the meeting.
