Sacred heart can help parents sing up their children for Florida KidCare

If you have children who do not have health insurance, you may want to contact Sacred heart.

Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart is helping families enroll their children in low-cost health insurance through Florida KidCare.

Florida KidCare is comprehensive health insurance that covers services ranging from prescription medications and sports physicals to dental care, doctor’s visits, emergencies and x-rays.

Sacred Heart will provide one-on-one assistance to parents, grandparents and guardians in understanding their options, and will assist them to enroll in the Florida KidCare program.

A community-health worker is available to help families in Gulf and Franklin counties – you can get more information by calling 1-877-787-1838.

Florida ranks third in the U.S. for the number of uninsured children with more than a half million children without coverage.

Children who do not have health insurance often miss preventive care, such as immunizations, doctors’ visits, vision care and dental check-ups.

The contact number for Franklin and Gulf Counties again is 1-877-787-1838
