Franklin county Commission meets Tuesday


The Franklin County Commission will hear from two student organizations when it meets tomorrow in Apalachicola.

The county will get a presentation from SWAT which is Students Working Against Tobacco about some of the programs they are doing in the county.

The board will also hear from Students Working Against Plastic Pollution to discuss putting informational kiosks at local boat ramps to educate boaters about the dangers of throwing plastic items in local waters.

County Commissioners will also hold a public hearing on Tuesday to consider a rezoning request from the Ho-Hum RV park just east of Carrabelle.

County commission meetings are open to the public – tomorrow’s meeting begins at 9 at the Franklin county courthouse Annex in Apalachicola.
