Group
President Brooke Pittman made the request.
She
said the kiosks would provide information to visitors and locals on the dangers
of littering to the local seafood industry, bay and economy.
The
kiosks will be paid for by the “Students Against Plastic Pollution” group –
Miss Pittman said they will have to do some fund-raining to pay for them.
The
kiosks will also have trash receptacles attached to them to make it easier for
people to not litter.
The
county commission also agreed to allow county workers with the parks and
recreations department to empty the trash cans as needed.
