County
commissioners Tuesday gave their approval to allow the Property Appraisers
office to purchase a new vehicle.
Property
appraiser Rhonda Skipper said her office puts a lot of miles on their cars
because by law they have to go to every parcel in the county at least once
every 5 years and the two vehicles she has now are reaching the end of their
usefulness.
Miss
Skipper has already found a new vehicle through a local car lot – she will
spend about 22 thousand dollars for it.
The
county commission had to approve shifting money in the property appraisers
budget to make the purchase.
Miss
Skipper said she will use one of her existing vehicles as a trade in for the
new car and the other will be used by other county departments.
