SMALL COUNTY COALITION RECOGNIZES LEGISLATORS

The Small County Coalition has announced the recipients of “The Leadership Award” for service during the 2013 Legislative Session.
In announcing the recognitions, Coalition Chairman Warren Yeager, (Commissioner, Gulf County) stated, “We are recognizing legislators with “The Leadership Award” for their overall effort and willingness to work with the members of the Small County Coalition.  The legislators worked closely with the Small County Coalition members on supporting key appropriations, finding solutions to Medicaid Cost-Share, providing leadership on economic development in rural areas, protecting jobs, and, on overall awareness and openness in working on behalf of small county issues.”
Yeager continued by stating, “Our small county legislators have been effective working together in a collective effort to create support for issues and programs important to small counties. The Small County Coalition legislative agenda is clear – our requests are reasonable and we have proven over the past 20 years that we have credibility.   We are thankful for our House and Senate members, we congratulate the recipients that have been recognized, and we look forward to working with all of the members of the Florida House and Senate in 2014.”
