Debs lose to North Carolina to end World Series hopes

The Franklin County debs ended their softball season on Monday night with a loss to North Carolina.

It was their second loss in the softball World Series that is being held in Alexandria, Louisiana.

The local 17 to 19 year olds lost their first game against the host team on Saturday, and then beat Mississippi on Sunday.

Their loss to North Carolina Monday night took them out of the World Series.

The Debs had a great season, winning a district and state title on their way to the World Series.

They took the state championship with 4 straight wins and even picked up the best sportsmanship trophy along the way.
