Franklin County Commission meets Tuesday

            Franklin County commissioners will be busy on Tuesday.

The board has its regular meeting in the morning where it will hold a number of bid openings.

The county will open bids for repairs to the revetment at the St. George Island boat ramp, as well as for the widening project for Bluff road in Apalachicola.

The board will also open bids for a new baler for the landfill.

Commissioners will also hear from the Riverkeepers about the upcoming Senate committee meeting scheduled for Apalachicola on the 13th and hear an update about the state housing initiative program.

In the afternoon the commission will hold a workshop to talk about personnel rules, that will be followed by a special meeting where the county commission might adopt changes to its personnel rules.

The regular commission meeting will begin at 9 tomorrow morning; the workshop will begin at 1:30.


All of the meetings will be held at the Franklin County Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola.
