Three companies issued bids for a Department of Transportation project to resurface and widen Bluff Road in Apalachicola.
DOT is providing just over 2 million dollars for the work which would extend over 4 and a half miles from Highway 98 to Pine Log Road.
The bids ranged from 2.2 million to over 2.9 million dollars and are currently being considered by the county’s engineering firm.
The county commission will get a recommendation at their next meeting.
Commissioners did not know the proposed start date for the project but said it should be within 90 days.
