Governor names two to Port St. Joe Port Authority

Governor Rick Scott has reappointed one member and appointed a new one to the Port St. Joe Port Authority.

The governor’s office announced that Carl “Eugene” Raffield of Port St. Joe will continue serving on the Port Authority through July 2017.

Mister Raffieild is the vice president of Raffield Fisheries.

Jason Shoaf will be the new man on the board.

Mister Shoaf is the vice president of Saint Joe Natural Gas Company; he succeeds Patrick Jones on the board.

Port St. Joe has one of Florida’s 14 deep-water seaports; the Port Authority is working to re-establish Port St. Joe as an active seaport.

They are currently seeking funding to dredge the shipping channel to 37 feet.
