Local unemployment up in November

Franklin County’s unemployment rose in November.
Local unemployment increased from 5 percent in October to 5.3 percent last month.
ten counties had lower unemployment rates than ours.
271 people were looking for work in Franklin County in November, up from 257 the month before.
Unemployment in Gulf County remained stable at 6.7 percent.
382 people were looking for work in Gulf County last month, down from 389 the month before.
In Wakulla County the unemployment rate fell from 5.3 to 5.1 percent.
In Liberty County unemployment was at 5.6 percent for the past 2 months.
Overall, the statewide seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 6.4 percent in November.
