Today is the last day to take advantage of the public libraries “Fine Forgiveness for perishable foods” program

Today is the last day to take advantage of the public libraries “Fine Forgiveness for perishable foods” program.

For most of the month the library has allowed people to pay off any library fines by bringing in non-perishable food.

For every can or box of food brought in to the Eastpoint or Carrabelle branch of the public library the library will knock 1 dollar off any fines you may have.

The program was designed to help people clear their record with the library tart while helping stock our local food pantries during a busy time of year.

Again, the offer is good through today, so if you haven’t taken advantage of the program head to your local library before they close.

The public libraries are located at 160 Hickory Dip road in Eastpoint and on Highway 98 in Carrabelle.
