Camp Gordon Johnston Museum welcomed a record number of visitors in 2013

The Camp Gordon Johnston Museum says it saw a record number of visitors in 2013.
The museum said that nearly 4000 people visited the museum last year – most of the visitors were tourists.
The museum saw high visitation even though it is located off the major roads.
The Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum is located at the Carrabelle City Complex, which used to be Carrabelle High School.
It hopes one day to move to property it owns at Carrabelle beach which was where many of the D-Day practice landings were held.
The museum is open Monday through Thursday from 1 till 4, Friday from noon until 4 hours and Saturday from 10 till 2.
