Franklin County Public Libraries begin extended hours this week

            Franklin county’s public libraries will begin their extended hours this week and will be open on Saturdays to make it easier for people to use the library services.

Beginning today, the public libraries in Eastpoint and Carrabelle will be open every Monday through Friday from 9 till 6 and on Saturday’s from 10 till 2.

County library director Anne Birchwell said she hopes the extended hours and Saturday hours will encourage more local people to visit their libraries.

The public libraries are located at 160 Hickory Dip road in Eastpoint and on Highway 98 in Carrabelle.
