SBA making emergency loans available to businesses impacted by oyster disaster

The US Small Business Administration has agreed to make Economic Injury Disaster Loans available to Small Businesses in Franklin and neighboring counties.
Governor Rick Scott requested the disaster declaration in October to help businesses impacted by the failure in the oyster fishery.
The declaration covers Franklin County and the neighboring counties of Gulf, Liberty and Wakulla.
The SBA offers Economic Injury Disaster Loans to help meet working capital needs caused by the oyster disaster.
Businesses may be eligible for loans up to $2 million dollars with rates at 3 percent for non-profit organizations and 4 percent for small businesses with terms up to 30 years.
Applications and program information are available by sending an email to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
If you would like to apply for a loan, applications can be downloaded from the SBA's website at sba.gov.

The deadline to return economic injury applications is July 31, 2014.
