Dixie Theatre Season Wrap Up and New for 2015

The Best in Live Professional Theatre, Music & Dance since 1913
Mrs. Mannerly
Season 17 is but a fond and distant memory, season 18 full steam ahead...mostly. We want to thank all the faithful patrons of the Dixie for once again supporting, attending and enjoying the plethora of talent and entertainment we presented during our 2014 season.

Thanks too, to all of you who donated and contributed your time and funds, we couldn't do it without you. We continue struggling to get that cultural word out and hope you will help us spread it.  And while we are in no way a community theatre, we are a professional theatre for the community and we thank you, our devoted patrons, for your continued support.

We have big changes afoot as we slide into spring. We're moving the Pet Shop, PETunia, the fund raising arm of the Dixie Theatre Foundation, to a brilliant new location that will be more fun than you can imagine and we're also slowly changing the name to OYSTERBONES®. As some of you may know, OYSTERBONES® are delicious dog biscuits made with the world famous Apalachicola Bay oyster shells and have been around since 1998, the same year we reopened the Dixie. Now it will also be the name of the best pet shop in the world, woof, woof! Our new location at 58 Market Street is right across from the new and oh so elegant Up the Stairs Restaurant, we'll be in the old Medicine Shop location with lots of room for new and exciting items for your pet and testing areas for doggies.

We've already booked several dates for our 2015 Season 18 and hope to have the calendar set by June 1 - see below. If we can't get better attendance and contributions, I fear it may be our last season. Unfortunately, the powers that be IE those with the ability to designate local grants and funding seem to keep designating elsewhere.

Hope you have a cool summer,
Dixie
