Farm Share Teams Up with the Department of Children & Families and Health Department to Feed 1,000 families in North Florida

North Florida – Farm Share is partnering with DCF and the Health Department to sponsor a health fair and food distribution on Wednesday, April 30th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Farm Share, 18212 Blue Star Highway, Quincy, FL 32351.

Families in need will be provided Farm Share food packages free of charge. Each household will receive fresh fruits, vegetables and other goods.

Residents will also be provided with free dental/health screenings, and resource/ youth services information.

Last year alone, Farm Share provided more than $40 million in food to over one million Florida families.

Most of the food is distributed through a community network of church food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, senior centers, and veterans groups.

Farm Share is the largest fresh produce program in Florida and the only statewide food bank program that does not charge a fee for any food it provides to community organizations. In fact, Farm Share is one of the largest food recovery operations in the nation.
