Florida Park Service to consider changes to management plan for the Constitution Convention Museum State Park in Port St. Joe

The Florida Park Service is updating the management plan for the Constitution Convention Museum State Park in Port St. Joe, and they are planning to do some major work to the site.

The park service is proposing to renovate the museum building’s exterior and interior, update the museum’s displays and improve the way the museum handles school groups and public gatherings.

The park service would also like to replace the concrete paths around the museum with wider brick walkways, and add two picnic pavilions on the museum grounds among other improvements.

If you would like to learn more about the management plan updates and comment on them, there will be a public workshop and presentation on Wednesday in Port St. Joe.

That workshop will be held at 7 PM at the Gulf County Emergency Operations Center at 1000 Cecil G. Costin, Sr. Blvd.
