As of Noon today the Blountstown river level was at 20.4 ft and is expected to rise to 22.9 ft by Friday morning. This number is subject to change as conditions dictate.
Therefore, Gulf County Emergency Management would like to notify residents and property owners in the river basin areas of Gulf County, that they should closely monitor the river readings for potential flooding. They should also be prepared to take any precautions and protective actions in the event that their area is impacted by flooding conditions.
Based upon current conditions the potential exists to begin flooding homes in the Apalachicola and Chipola River basin areas of Gulf County.
