Area 1612 of the Apalachicola bay will reopen to oyster harvesting on Wednesday morning.
Area 1612 is the conditionally approved Winter West Shellfish Harvest Area.
It will reopen at sunrise.
The department of Agriculture says fecal coliform tests show the
site meets the standards to be re-opened to oyster harvesting.

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services announced
that the following shellfish area(s) will be re-opened at sunrise on
Wednesday May 14, 2014 for the harvest of oysters, clams, and mussels.
In this context, shellfish does not include scallops, shrimp, or crabs.

Basis for action:
Fecal coliform results indicate that water quality meets NSSP standards
as defined in Chapter 5L-1.003, Florida Administrative Code
