Governor Rick Scott signed the
legislation Monday at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando .
Starting May 31, Floridians can
purchase hurricane necessities including batteries, flashlights, weather radios, tarps, and even generators
worth $750 or less without having to pay the state's 6 percent sales tax.
The sales tax holiday is expected
to save Floridians about 121 million dollars.
The tax holiday will run from May
31st to June the 8th.
