There
will be a free fishing clinic for kids in Panacea on Saturday.
The clinic is for kids between
5 and 15 and their parents and is designed to teach them about environmental
issues, fishing ethics, fishing skills and safety.
Learning stations will explain
different knots used in fishing, fishing gear, how to cast, and what species of
fish are found locally.
The clinic is free and
there is no pre-registration needed.
All you have to do is
take your kids to Wooley Park 9 AM .
If your child already has
fishing equipment you should bring that with you, and if not – The first 250
kids will receive a free rod and reel.
There is even a free hot
dog lunch will be provided.
The clinic has been held
in Panacea for a number of years and has helped hundreds of area children learn
a love of fishing.
