If
you are one of the over 750,000 bass fishermen in Florida, the Florida Fish and
Wildlife Conservation Commission would like to hear from you on a proposed
change to bass fishing rules.
The FWC
has a new online survey where bass fishermen can comment on a proposal to
change the allowed length limit for largemouth bass.
The rule change would
maintain the current five-bass daily bag limit, but would only allow fishermen
to keep one bass 16 inches in total length or longer.
Based on public input
and future edits to the proposal, the earliest this rule change could be
implemented is July 2016.
To take the survey, go
to MyFWC.com/Fishing and select the “Speak out on bass rules!” link.
