The Franklin County school
Board will hold a special meeting tomorrow to further consider a proposal that
would change the way the local school superintendent is selected.
The School superintendent is
currently an elected position, but school board members are looking at the pros
and cons of making it a hired position.
The decision will actually fall
to the voters; the school board can only decide whether to put the issue on the
ballot.
The school board will hold a
public meeting with a state school board representative so the board and the
public can ask questions about the issue.
That meeting is scheduled for Tuesday
at 6 PM at the Franklin county school cafeteria.
