Expect driving delays this week as DOT does routine bridge inspections

            Drivers in our area can expect some traffic delays this week as DOT contractors perform routine inspections on bridges in Leon, Gadsden, Jefferson, Franklin, and Wakulla counties.

On Tuesday there will be alternating lane closures on the Ochlocknee Bay Bridge from 9 till 3 as inspections are done there.

Wednesday the crew will move to the Sopchoppy River Bridge in Wakulla County where drivers can expect lane closures from 9 a.m. to noon.

Thursday the inspections will be done on the Apalachicola River Bridge about a half mile east of Apalachicola.

There will be Eastbound lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. while that inspection is done.

Motorists are reminded to pay attention and use caution when driving through the work zone.
