Sacred Heart Thanks Duck Derby Sponsors

PORT ST. JOE, Fla. – The Second Annual Duck Derby benefiting Sacred Heart Hospital on the Gulf Volunteer Guild once again made a huge splash during the Scallop Festival. A total of 1,463 ducks raced across the Lagoon at George Core Park during the festival on Saturday, Sept. 13, in Port St. Joe. The lucky duck had been adopted by Lisa Chrastina, who was awarded with an Apple iPad Air. More than 30 other duck “adopters” won prizes, once the flock made it across the finish line.

With generous support from corporate sponsors and duck “adopters,” the Sacred Heart Hospital Volunteer Guild was able to raise more than $4,000, which will help support community health services through Sacred Heart Hospital on the Gulf.
