Apalachicola Riverkeeper recently kicked off its annual RiverTrekfundraising campaign with the recruitment of 14 eager adventure seekers who will work to protect the river and bay by paddling the river's entirety--nearly 107 miles from Chattahoochee to Apalachicola, Florida. The paddlers will camp along the banks of the river four nights and paddle five days.
The kayaking trip is both an awareness campaign & fundraiser for Apalachicola Riverkeeper. The volunteer paddlers are eagerly seeking your sponsorship. RiverTrek 2014 launches next TUESDAY morning.
On Saturday, October 11, the RiverTrek crew arrives in Apalachicola after five days of wilderness living on the water. We hope to see you there! We also celebrating the National Recreation Trail Designation of Apalachicola Blueway by the Department of Interior.
