Area libraries share in energy efficiency grants
Libraries in Wakulla and Liberty Counties are two of 18 projects around the state that will share almost $1 million in grants to retrofit public buildings in order to increase energy efficiency.
The Wakulla Library is getting nearly 60 thousand dollars and the Liberty County library over 22 thousand to help make the buildings more energy efficient.
The money can be used for a number of retrofits including replacing indoor lighting and light fixtures to upgrading insulation and replacing air conditioning units.
The money is being made available through a grant from the Florida Department of Agriculture.
