~Learn about the snakes of the Florida Panhandle~
APALACHICOLA- Apalachicola National Research Reserve will offer an hour lecture on snakes of the Florida Panhandle on Wednesday, February 18th, 2014, from 2:00-3:00pm, at the Apalachicola Research Reserve Nature Center in Eastpoint. Participants will learn how to identify venomous species, what to do if you encounter a snake, learn some interesting facts about snakes and dispel some myths, and explore the reasons behind the phobia surrounding snakes. There will be some snake bio facts and a live snake or two to interact with.
Lecture is free and will be held at the Apalachicola National Research Reserve, 108 Island Drive, Eastpoint, Florida. This course is intended for the general public and registration is not required. For more information Gibby Conrad, 850-670-7702, email Gibby.Conrad@dep.state.fl.us
