27 people were arrested Thursday in
the second county-wide drug sweep this week.
On Thursday the
Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, Sheriff Deputies, and the
Apalachicola Police Department arrested 27 individuals on mainly drug related
charges.
Arrests came from
Eastpoint, Apalachicola, Carrabelle and there were even three in Gulf county.
Most of the charges
were for Sale of Controlled Substances including Methamphetamine and
Prescription Medications.
Along with
narcotics, deputies also seized a handgun, a rifle, and cash.
The sheriff’s
department says it has made 46 drug-related arrests between March 6th
and March 12th.
More arrests are
pending.
