County Solid Waste director Fonda
Davis was given a 2000 dollar raise this month for the additional work he has
taken on with the parks and Recreation department.
Fonda took over Parks and Rec in
early December after the previous director was
arrested on charges of stealing from the local youth
football program.
He was not given a raise
at the time, but county commissioners felt he should be compensated for the
additional work and responsibility.
He also doesn’t get
many weekends off anymore because parks and rec stays busy on weekends
especially during the tourist season.
It is possible that
Fonda could get additional money later this year.
Commisioner Pinki
Jackel said the board will likely revisit his pay during budget time.
