Long-time Franklin County Veterans
affairs director William Scott was given a resolution of appreciation for his
25 years of service.
Mister
Scott will retire from county employment on March 31st; he began
working at the veterans Affairs office in 1990.
The
resolution recognized Mister Scott for his service to his country and his
community.
Mister
Scott said being Veterans affairs director has been a very satisfying and
fulfilling job and it has been an honor to serve local veterans.
He
said he hopes local veterans will support the next veterans Service Officer in
the same manner they have supported him.
The
county has already hired Mister Scott’s replacement - his assistant Charles
Elliot chosen to replace him.
