Gulf Council's Law Enforcement Advisory Panel to Meet 
in Point Clear, Alabama


The Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council will convene a meeting of its Law Enforcement Advisory Panel in conjunction with the Law Enforcement Committee of the Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission.

The Panel will meet Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 8:30 until noon at the Grand Hotel Point Clear, One Grand Boulevard, Point Clear, Alabama.

On the agenda is the review of Reef Fish Amendment 39 - Recreational Red Snapper Regional Management and South Florida Management Issues. The Panel will also discuss:
  • Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing issues and possible actions
  • Proposed Gulf Council sponsored Officer of the Year program
  • Inter-jurisdictional Fisheries program activity
  • State reports
The Law Enforcement Advisory Panel consists of principal law enforcement officers from each of the Gulf States, as well as the NOAA Law Enforcement, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the NOAA General Counsel for Law Enforcement.
