Each quarter, we’re sending you GCFL’s hottest events and adventures – from sunset cruises and home tours to festivals and farmers markets. Here are some highlights from April through June.

Event: Ling Ding Fishing Tournament
Dates/TimesApril 17-19, 24-26 and May 1-3, 2015
Description: Anglers have a total of nine days to snag the biggest Ling out there (the fishing category will only focus on Ling (Cobia) this year). This year’s tournament includes the following awards: $2,000 for 1st place overall, $1,000 for 2nd, $500 for 3rd, and a Yeti 105 qt. cooler for each weekly winner.

Event: Beach Blast Triathlon and Duathlon
Dates/TimesSaturday, April 25, 2015
Description: Currently celebrating its 11th year, the Beach Blast Triathlon and Duathlon happens each April and September. This event lets you pick your race and distance: Sprint or Olympic distance and triathlon or duathlon. So come and get fit on the gorgeous Gulf coast!

Event: 10th Annual Forgotten Coast en plein air – America’s Great Paint-Out
Dates/TimesMay 1-11, 2015; times vary
Description: Celebrating 10 years of documenting the landscape and culture of Gulf County, this event focuses on artistic excellence. Over 10 days, the invitational features 21 internationally acclaimed artists, as well as six "Florida's Finest en Plein Air" artists honored as Plein Air Ambassadors, two Plein Air Portrait experts and the Plein Air Academy's Master Artist Faculty. The paint-out also includes expanded exhibits, a Collectors' Forum and special guest speakers.

Event: First Fridays Art and Music Series
Dates/TimesMay 8, 2015 and every first Friday through September: starts at 6:00 p.m.
Description: Live music is the perfect backdrop as you relax with friends and watch the
sun go down over St. Joseph Bay. Enjoy live music and local art.

Event: 25th Annual Tupelo Honey Festival
Dates/TimesMay 16, 20159:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Description: Under the great mossy oaks of Lake Alice, people come from all over the world to taste and take home this local rare delicacy. Home of the country's finest Tupelo Honey, beekeepers from the area will have booths of honey in many different sizes and packages, along with food vendors, art and crafts, and live music right on the banks of the mossy lake.

Event: Big Bend Saltwater Classic
Dates/TimesJune 19-21, 2015
DescriptionThe Bend Saltwater Classic is the fishing family’s place to be for Father's Day weekend. The tournament is a rodeo format featuring multiple species in three divisions for competitive fishing for juniors to pros.

Event: SaltAir Farmers’ Market
Dates/Times: First and third Saturdays, February 21 – November 21; 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Description: Take a morning stroll Downtown Port St. Joe and you’ll be treated with fresh seasonal produce from local farmers, regional vegetables, fruit, Gulf seafood, meat, cheeses and breads that are all ready for your table. Handmade arts, crafts, jewelry, pottery and gifts highlight the market’s offerings with live music and fresh air.
