There will be a
ribbon cutting on Friday morning for the historic Panacea tram.
Wakulla County High school’s welding and carpentry students built
the tram – it’s a recreation of the Panacea Tram Car, that ran from Panacea to
Sopchoppy in the late 1800s.
The project included over 150 students and teachers.
The ribbon cutting will be held at 10:30 at Woolley Park in
Panacea.
Afterward the tram will be parked in Panacea and be used for
parades and other community events.
