Arrest made in string of burglaries at Cape San Blas and St. Joe Beach

A Georgia man has been arrested for a string of robberies in St. Joe Beach and Cape San Blas.
The Gulf County sheriff’s office has linked 40 year old Kenneth David Regan from Bainbridge, Georgia to at least seven separate residential burglaries.
Four of the burglaries occurred in the St. Joe Beach area and three on Cape San Blas.
Numerous televisions and other household items were stolen.
Investigators noticed similarities in how each burglary was committed and suspected all were committed by the same person.
Investigators working one of the burglaries realized the suspect had injured himself during the break-in.
That afternoon deputies attempted to apprehend a wanted fugitive from Georgia for unrelated charges.
The fugitive, Kenneth David Regan was apprehended; at the time of his arrest he had a severe laceration to his left forearm.
Through further investigation, Investigators learned Mr. Regan had sold two televisions to a local pawn shop.
They also developed physical evidence that connected Regan to one of the burglaries on St. Joe Beach by searching a location he stayed at in Mexico Beach.
The Gulf County Sheriff’s office recently also received FDLE laboratory reports which identified Regan through a DNA match to the other burglaries.

Regan is currently incarcerated in the state of Georgia on the unrelated charges and will be extradited back to Gulf County once the charges are resolved.
