Apalachicola Visitor's Center named a Florida Certified Tourism Information Center

The Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center has been named a Florida Certified Tourism Information Center.
The Certified Tourism Information Centers Program is run through VISIT FLORIDA, which is the state’s official tourism marketing corporation.

All Florida Certified Tourism Information Centers receive a free brochure display as well as Vacation Guides and Florida State Maps.

They also get Certification signage and access to a State of Florida Network with other tourism professionals.

In addition, Statewide Information Specialist Certification is being offered to all employees who work at the visitor center.

To become an official Florida Certified Tourism Information Center, visitor centers have to meet certain requirements  such as the centers must be a VISIT FLORIDA Partner, centers must be open year-round at a minimum of five days per week, and the centers must be located in a convenient and accessible location for the ease of travelers,.

Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce Executive Director John Solomon said they are very happy to be included in this prestigious roster of new VISIT FLORIDA Certified Tourism Information Center’s from across the state adding that the distinction provides an extra layer of service to our visitors.
