Boil water notice now in effect for a portion of Eastpoint

A boil water notice is in effect for Eastpoint water and sewer customers in the area of 2nd street to C.C. Land Road.

The Eastpoint Water and Sewer district said a water line in that area was damaged and there will be a water outage while the line is repaired.

Any time water pressure falls to a certain point it requires a boil water notice until the water can be tested for bacteria.

Any water used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute.

The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the tests on water samples show the water is safe to drink.

If you have any questions, you call the Eastpoint Water and Sewer District at 670-8177.
