Franklin County commissioners will meet Tuesday in
Apalachicola.
The
board has a full agenda that includes a public hearing for a rezoning for two
lots on St. George Island.
The
County Commission will consider rezoning two lots in the center of the island
from commercial to mixed-use commercial/ residential.
The
commission will also consider recommendations from the county planning and
zoning board that includes site plan approval to place a bank building just east
of Tayor’s Building Supply in Eastpoint.
Supervisor
of Elections Pinki Jackel will attend the meeting to discuss upgrades to county
voting equipment, and Leslie Cox will ask the board to recognize the month of
October as Florida Native Plant Month.
Franklin
County’s school homeless liaison Sandi Hengle will also attend to ask that the
board appoint her as the county’s representative on the Big bend Continuum of
Care coalition.
