Speed Limit Change on State Road 30 (U.S. 98) in Franklin County
Chipley- Based on the results of a recent speed study, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will decrease the speed limit on State Road 30 (U.S. 98) from Kenneth Cope Avenue to the eastern city limits in Carrabelle. On Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 9 a.m. EDT, FDOT sign crews will erect new speed limit signs, lowering the speed on from 55 MPH to 45 MPH.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to pay attention to the speed limit when traveling.
