The
Franklin county Supervisor of elections office will soon get some needed repairs.
The county rents the building
that houses the Supervisor of Elections office – it used to serve as the local
office for Progress Energy.
The county pays about 2000 dollars
a month for the space.
Last week the board agreed to
extend the lease for another 5 years and the landlord agreed to fix the place
up.
The renovations will include new
laminate flooring, new fixtures in the women’s restroom and a new toilet in the
men’s room, and new ceiling tiles.
The glass doors and the drive
through window will also be tinted and an area that was once a kitchen will be
renovated with additional shelving and new cabinets.
