Potential regulatory changes on:
  • Red snapper (Gulf): 2016 recreational season
  • Gag and black grouper (Gulf): Increasing recreational size limit for both species and setting gag recreational season.
  • Dwarf seahorse: Prohibiting harvest north of Anclote Key State Park Lighthouse and Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, reducing recreational and commercial bag/trip limits, and creating an annual commercial quota.

Mutton Snapper Workshops

Information: The FWC is holding a series of public workshops to gather public input on potential management changes for mutton snapper.
Staff will provide a brief presentation about mutton snapper management issues that are currently being worked on and will solicit stakeholder concerns and comments about these issues.

Anemone Workshop

Information: This workshop will focus on the management of a variety of anemones in Florida, including specific discussions about the giant Caribbean anemone (Condylactis gigantea), which was closed to harvest in 2012.

Snook - Atlantic
