Franklin County School keeps "C" grade

Florida finally released its high school grades last week and the Franklin County School remains a C school.
It’s the second year the Franklin County School has received a C grade – though the grading system changed this year.
The school grades are linked to the state's Florida Standards Assessment which is based primarily on Common Core standards and looks at student performance in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
The grades also include factors like the school’s graduation rate, and what percentage of students participates in Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment classes.
Other high school grades in the area: Port St. Joe high school received an A grade; that’s up from a B last year.

Wewahitchka High School saw its grade fall to a C.

Liberty County High School saw got its third B in a row and Wakulla High school remai9ned an A school.

The grades are preliminary - all schools districts have the opportunity to appeal high school grades through February 1st.
