Wakulla County Announces Storm Debris Pick Up in Tidal Surge Areas

Crawfordville, Florida –Wakulla County Public Works is in the process of picking up storm debris located within the right of way of the tidal surge areas in Ochlocknee Bay, Mashes Sands, Panacea, Spring Creek, Oyster Bay, Shell Point, and Live Oak Island. 

In addition, residents who have green waste/yard debris outside of the tidal surge areas are encouraged to take it to the Lower Bridge Landfill which will be “free of charge” through Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 8:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. Also, Keep Wakulla County Beautiful (KWCB) has volunteers to help residents who do not have the means to load and/or haul off their debris.
