Wakulla residents urged to report Hermine damage to FEMA

Wakulla County was not included in the recent Declaration for Individual Assistance as a result of Hurricane Hermine which means Wakulla residents are currently not eligible for FEMA assistance.  Citizens are being encouraged to file a claim with FEMA if they experienced damages from Hurricane Hermine.  This will allow FEMA to record the demographics and needs of our Citizens.  Individual Assistance was requested by the State of Florida; however, it has not yet been granted by FEMA or the President for Wakulla County.  To file a claim, visit DisasterAssistance.gov <https://www.disasterassistance.gov/> to apply online or you may also call (800) 621-3362 TTY (800) 462-7585 to apply.
