One of the biggest fund-raisers of the year for Special Events for Mexico Beach is the Art and Wine Festival, which will take place on Saturday, October 15. All the proceeds that this organization brings in go toward the July Fourth Best Blast on the Beach fireworks show and events. This year’s festival will include artwork from over 30 artists from around the region. Along with the art, there will be a varied selection of wines to enjoy. Please note this is not a wine-tasting event. Both a live and a silent auction will feature artwork from participating artists as well as area merchants, so this will be one festival you will want to attend. The doors will open at 2:00 p.m. and the entrance fee is only $20 per person; this includes a commemorative wine glass with one complimentary beverage, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and live music. Please join us for a delightful afternoon of art, wine, and more!

MUSIC IN THE PARK RECAP |
Our Music in the Park concert series this year was wonderful and a great success! Unfortunately, the weather precluded our first concert and we missed hearing Crossroads. However, we had outstanding appearances by Baby Gray, The Krickets, Heat & the Zydeco Gents, and Konkrete Soul. Attendance was the best ever and we hope you can make it out next year—every Thursday in September—to enjoy a new show each week. We would like to send out a nice thank you to the Mexico Beach Community Development Council for sponsoring the event and a special thank you to the Mexico Beach Volunteer Fire Department for cooking up dinner each week for the hungry patrons. |
