Wakulla
County residents can now get emergency alerts on their home phones,
work phones, cell phones and even e-mail.
Wakulla
County is moving to a new, high-speed emergency notification system
known as Alert Wakulla County.
The
system will replace the county’s CodeRED system.
Alert
Wakulla County provides residents and business owners with the
ability to receive emergency notifications and warnings regarding
emergencies and threatening severe weather.
You
do have to register for the service.
Residents
can register their address and contact information into the Alert
Wakulla County portal, at the Wakulla county Sheriff's Office
website.
Residents
have until November 30th to make the change.
That
will be the last day the CodeRed Service is active.
